Introducing The Chowhound

A couple of months ago I found out that I work with The Food Snob, The Bachelor, and The Cheapskate, restaurant reviewers for my community magazine: The Midway Monitor. I told them how much I enjoyed their section, and in return they invited me to join them for a review. I was happy when they let me write a guest review, and even more happy when they invited me to join again. I’ve now tagged along for three reviews and earned the name “The Chowhound,” although in my review of The Happy Gnome I am called “Basset Boy.”

Why am I telling you this? Well it just occurred to me that many of you reading this don’t receive The Midway Monitor. Rather than asking you all to move to the midway, I thought I would provide you with the information you need to read these reviews from the comfort of your home. So read away, and lookout for our next review.

  1. Does the name ‘Chowhound’ mean that you’ll eat just about anything?

  2. Not necessarily, but it does mean that I like to eat a lot of food.

  3. If Chowhound were the Batman of food reviewing (spotlight in the sky with a dog’s head) I think Basset Boy would be his Robin. Food for thought.
