Things I've bought and used

I’m supposed to be packing for my trip right now. Our flight to Cancun leaves at 6 am tomorrow. I am getting in trouble with the wife as I type. As I’m not going to get a chance to post for the next week I thought I would leave you, my loyal reader, with links to a few things I’ve bought or used recently. Here goes:

  1. I’m listening right now to How I Became the Bomb’s album “Let’s Go!” which I just got in the mail today. Thanks to Michael for the tip. And I can’t wait to get my shirt too (the one on the right).
  2. Also thanks to Michael, I caught wind of Moo’s promotion where you could get 10 free cards printed from you flickr photos. I got them in the mail last week and was especially impressed with the packaging. Spending so much time on the internet, it’s nice to get something three dimensional. I’m still not quite sure what to think of the size of the cards…I was expecting a little closer to business card size but they’re just so short and wide. Not many pictures work in that format.
  3. I meant to post this a while back, for Rebekah’s birthday I put together a book from our flickr photos using Qoop. It turned out great, the only pain in the butt was having to press refresh to see a different combination of photos for the cover. I had to stop myself after a half hour or so, it’s just so tempting to click refresh, thinking that the next time might be the perfect combo.
  4. I just put up a new badge on my flickr profile courtesy of big huge labs.
  5. I’m really happy with this shirt. I was killing some time at the mall when I was in Dallas (when we asked people what there was to do in the city, we were always told to go to the mall, kind of sad, especially since I actually went) and I stopped into the Metro Park store. I saw the shirt, but couldn’t bring myself to spend $32. So I told Rebekah about it later, and when she came back from Dallas she had gone to the mall and bought it for me. She’s a sweet wife. I love her.

That’s it for now, I really have to pack.

  1. Shoot me a note and we’ll let you make a free 48 pack of myCards on flickr. Phil
